Are all your classes online?
All of our classes are online however, they are completely interactive. Our students are required to come to class at a certain time so that they can participate in classes together with the instructor. The students and the professor in class use microphones and webcams so that it feels like you are all in the same room. This also allows our students to engage in classroom discussion, ask questions and bond with your fellow classmates. It is the most interactive classroom experience that you can have online. It is like being in a real classroom but, you have the convenience of taking them from anywhere in the world.
What does is online study (also called e-learning) and what does it involve?
Online study is when you use the Internet to attend classes and to receive your study materials.
Students will attend their required classes in an online classroom with their instructor and fellow students via a webcam and microphone. General Education core courses are self-paced and must be completed by the time the student graduates.
What are the benefits to studying online?
You can study from anywhere in the United States. No wasted time travelling to lectures.
Studies can be fitted into your work, family or personal time schedule.
Our technology makes it easy!
When you study online with us it is easy to use. You will receive quick and easy training during orientation so that you will feel comfortable by the time classes start.
Through our online technology you can see the syllabus including text, powerpoints, audio and video presentations and demonstrations, quick quizzes, assignments and more involved assessments. You can ask questions and participate with your fellow students and instructors live, in class!
How does online study work? How do I know that it's right for me?
Here's how it works:
-
In our primary model, required courses are taught in our internet classrooms, via webcam and microphone, in which you will sign into the internet classroom, with fellow students and instructor. Classes will meet 2 or 3 days per week for 2 hours sessions or in half - day Saturday sessions.
-
Our secondary model teaches courses supplied with audio and video lectures online, done on your own time within the parameters of the instructor, with assignments due, books to read, homework and exams taken. You can access lectures whenever you want - 24/7. Students taking these courses will meet weekly with their instructor and fellow students for class discussion. (these meetings will require a webcam and mic to share in the discussion).
-
You will use The Courseworks (c) to access all of your course materials, powerpoints, syllabus, homework assignments, grades, audio and video courses, read comments from your instructor and receive announcements.
-
Our textbooks are found on the student's Logos Digital Library. You will need to select the type of Logos Library required by your course of study. The minimal library accepted by the College is the Logos "Bible Study" Library and the minimal library accepted by the Seminary is the Logos "Scholars" Library. Logos Libraries are discounted to our enrolled students by 40%.
-
Secondary model degrees have the most flexible attendance around. Take classes from home, the office, while traveling, in a coffee shop, at the library, in the car, and even listen to your classes through your phone! For secondary model classes there is no required times to be online except for the weekly instructor meeting.
-
Our students have the option to custom design their degrees based on course selection and the required degree criteria.
