Arizona Theological Seminary was founded on a commitment to provide a seminary education to every student called to ministry, at an affordable tuition, and seeking ordination credentials.
We have developed an online learning system in co-operation with the country's leading seminary professors, LOGOS, Moody Bible Institute, Reclaiming the Mind Ministries and American Association of Christian Counselors to give our students an outstanding seminary education.
We are a division of Abbey Ministries and General Conference of Evangelical Baptist Church and is a privately funded, non-profit 501(c) 3 corporation. Through generous donation from seminary professors, pastors, churches and organizations, we can offer lower tuition and generous financial aid to those students answering a call to ministry.
Staying on top of educational and technological innovations is another important part of our seminary.
We are principally an online college/seminary (although we do have standard classroom instruction) with LIVE online classroom instruction, meaning that you attend classes at assigned time with fellow classmates and instructor, viewing each other via webcam and mic. Our online classes are so easy to access, that if you can surf the internet, you can go to seminary. Additionally, we recognize that flexible class arrangements and convenience of use is important in today's busy student's lives. Students have the advantage of accessing their lectures 24 hours a day.
Our commitment to excellence and training, peer review and total quality creates a forward-thinking environment that benefits all of our students.
Additionally, our students have the option of qualifying for ordination with General Conference of the Evangelical Baptist Church as licensed ordained pastors upon graduation.
Five Banners of the Seminary
Arizona Theological Seminary specializes in the five areas of Christian ministry. We believe that theses areas are the banners of the Church. Each of these banners represent the different offices of the Church.
The Scholar- Sola Scriptura - Scripture Alone
The Evangelist- Sola Fide - Faith Alone
The Ministry Leader- Sola Gratia - Grace Alone
The Pastorate- Solo Christo - Christ Alone
The Worshiper- Soli Deo Gloria - Glory To God Alone
“For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth.” 2 Peter 1:12
"Then Peter said unto them, repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are far off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." Acts 2: 38-39
Having the Spirit poured out upon us, and in the witness of the Spirit, there is an awesome and powerful church rising from the present day sifting of the wheat from the chaff. We who are Christians are being restored to take our place as Teacher/Scholar, Evangelist, Church Leader, Preacher, and Worship/Fine Arts Leader to bring the Church into unity and into a place of effective maturity for today’s world.

Each school of study is designed around the program objective of Devotion, Discipleship and Deployment.
-
-
Devotion: To read and reflect on Biblical passages with one another, gather a support group of prayer intercessors during your training and beyond, pray on a consistent basis and praise and worship God for all that He is.
-
-
Discipleship: Have the opportunity to identify areas in your life where you are gifted and where you clearly are not. Process studies so that you will have the opportunity to share and learn from one another and to maximize your effectiveness when you operate out of your gifting. You will understand your findings, share them, and bring further clarity on how to proceed in new or existing ministry engagements.
Deployment: The purpose of ministry deployment is to help you move from understanding to a committed and supported action. It is about narrowing down ministry lists to the one ministry you are called to, refining that ministry plan into concrete next steps for action, and pledging support to one another as the new or improved ministry begins.
