As instructors, our role at Arizona Theological Seminary and Bible College is that of a minister of the Word first and instructor second. Arizona Bible College's affiliated teaching staff is one of dedicated Christians devoted to spreading the Gospel and teaching of the Word, whether that is through theology, church history or preaching.
Arizona Theological Seminary and Bible College's instructors are comprised of our staff instructors, professors and pastors from various other seminaries, churches and Christian organizations who are committed to providing excellence in the classroom, both live and online. There is no difference between the student who sits in the campus classroom and the student who is online at home to our teaching staff, each student is an active part of the classroom learning experience and receives the same care and attention. The teaching goal is to provide students with the best education they can receive through excellent classes and innovative partnerships with other instructors across America.
Arizona Theological Seminary and Bible College is organized into programs, based on degree objectives. Our instructors are selected on the basis if their expertise in the courses they teach - biblical theology, systematic theology or church history for example. They may instruct undergraduate or graduate students, or both. Our partners in education teach through online audio lectures followed by our faculty who continue to teach that class.
Arizona Theological Seminary and Bible College instructors keep abreast of developments in their field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences. They may also do their own research to expand knowledge in their field. They may pursue a trip to Israel; collect and analyze data; and examine original documents, literature, and other source material. From this process, they arrive at conclusions, and publish their findings in magazines, books, blogs and electronic media.
Our instructors extensively use computer technology, including web conferencing, chat rooms; and creating MP3 content and powerpoint presentations. They use computers in the classroom as teaching aids and post course content, class notes, class schedules, and other information on the Teacher Web. The use of Skype, chat rooms, and other techniques has greatly improved communications between students and teachers.
The education and training required of the instructors varies, depending on the subject taught. All instructors are either certified (such as Board Certified Pastoral Counselor with American Association of Christian Counselors) or have a post-secondary degree.
